“THE BEACH BOYS ON THE GRAMMYS”
I was changing the channel and caught The Beach Boys. Maroon 5 and The Plastic
People weren’t really that good. They were young so it brought in the young
crowd to connect to The Beach Boys.
The Beach Boys sounded good for their age. They don’t sound like the record but
they pull it off. I was trying to see who was singing the high notes. I thought
it might have been Bruce Johnston, then I saw his mouth wasn’t moving on the
real high note in “Good Vibrations.” My guess is that it was one of the backup
band members.
